Lone Star Art Alliance is proud to be the host/cohost of four Tricentennial events including the first official art exhibit for San Antonio's Tricentennial Celebration.
San Antonio is celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2018. The San Antonio Tricentennial Celebration is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be commemorated with a year-long calendar of events, activities and innovative initiatives that will carry San Antonio into the next 300 years.

Sister City International Jazz Band Concert

The creation of a Sister City International Jazz Band is an innovative project for MBAW’s 5th International Music Festival. The ensemble includes saxophonist Shlomi Kohen (Tel Aviv, Israel); guitarist Prasanna (Chennai, India); Mexican guitarist Oscar Zensei Gonzalez and bassist Vico Diaz; saxophonist and flutist Anke Schimpf (Darmstadt, Germany), jazz pianist Sonoda Tomoko (Kumamoto, Japan), accordionist Victor Prieto (Galicia, Spain) and other accomplished, versatile musicians from San Antonio Sister cities: Windhoek (Namibia) and Kaohsiung (Taiwan).
